Electrotherapy and Modalities
Ultrasound machine - used extensively in treatment of soft tissue localized injuries. The sound waves create thermo-mechanical effect improve blood circulation, brake scar tissue and promote healing.
Interferential current (IFC) - electrical stimulation device, especially effective in reducing swelling, inflammation and pain control.
Muscle stimulator - this current specifically used for strengthening or re-education of injured muscle.
Wax Baths - very useful for rheumatic and other arthritic problems in addition to acute hand and feet injuries.
Surface Biofeedback - enables objectively measure muscle tension reflecting muscle tone and strength. Extensively used in patients with TMJ syndromes, Low Back Pain and Anterior Knee Pain.
TENS Mchine - helps with the pain control, used as a complimentary tool along with the other modalities and techniques.
Pulsed Magnetic therapy - stimulates vascular response to compromised joint and muscle (useful with arthritis and muscle spasm).
Mechanical traction table - this device allows to decompress cervical (neck ), thoracic ( middle Back) or lumbar ( low back ) spine either in constant or intermittent mode. Very effective in disc problems and other Nerve Root Compression conditions. |
